Lego Building Technique: “2×2 Round Plate” Pieces

thebrickccentric ( 2018-08-21, flickr.com )
This technique is made entirely of the 2×2 round plate (part 4032). This technique is completely possible. It would be hard to explain this, so perhaps you can see it from the picture. Anyway, the result of this technique is a pattern of diagonally aligned plates. They aren’t extremely sturdy, but the connection is good enough to support an entire grid array of these. I don’t know what this would be useful for, but hopefully someone can be more creative than I am. Feel free to use this creation however you want, but be sure to give me proper credit for it.
